This paper – written by Nick Hagiliassis, Mark Di Marco, Susan Fowler, Stella Koritsas, Marcus Plush - looks at what meaningful co production in Positive Behaviour Support really requires. Practitioner reflections and lived experience insights point to a clear message: co production works best when plans are accessible, communication is flexible, relationships are strong, and each person’s preferences and rights guide the process.
Trellis partners with the building industry to deliver practical disability inclusive training - and this time we’ve teamed up with TEDDY (@tedsthetics) to share a message that’s equal parts serious and laugh out loud.
Developed in partnership with the University of Melbourne, the Positive Behaviour Support series includes three micro credentials co developed by Aoife McCann and Alex Kalff from Trellis - Assessment and Planning, PBS Autism Affirming Practice, and Authorised Program Officer - with course delivery supported by Dr Kirsty Fawns. Each course is flexible, practical, and aligned with the NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework and Practice Standards.
As a Specialist Behaviour Support Provider, Trellis is registered with the NDIS Commission for specialist behaviour support. Our behaviour support practitioners need to be considered suitable by the NDIS.
The Participant Handbook provides participants and their support people with important information on their rights and responsibilities. It gives you the information you need about using our services such as choice and control, privacy and confidentiality, and making a complaint and giving feedback.
Participant Fact Sheets for Behaviour Support. Accessible information for NDIS participants about PBS, created by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
Guided by a National Advisory Group - and with contribution from Trellis’s Mark Di Marco - The Right Direction offers practical, customisable tools that help behaviour support practitioners and NDIS participants communicate clearly and stay engaged throughout the behaviour support planning process.
Susan Fowler breaks down key sensory considerations for staff, showing how small environmental adjustments can support more capable, inclusive spaces.
A warm, practical series where Andrea Jackson and Susan Fowler offer staff easy sensory based tips, examples and inspiration for running inclusive group activities.
